Communication skills competence of school directors

The purpose of this research is to assess how teachers perceive the level of competence in communication skills of state and private education institutions, school principals at primary level. The study was carried out in the province of Çekmeköy in the province of Istanbul in 2016-2017 academic year. In the research, a questionnaire was developed by the researcher about the communication skill competence of the school principals. In the analysis of the data, frequency (N) and percentage (%) values ​​were first calculated for the questions in the first section of the questionnaire. The -t test- was used to test the difference between independent means. Variance analysis-the ANOVA test-was used to test the difference between independent independent averages. Some of the results obtained from the research are as follows: The male teachers expressed more favorable opinion and the school principals working in elementary and secondary schools expressed higher opinion than the female teachers in terms of communication skill competence. Teachers with a vocational seniority of 16 years and over say that school principals are more competent in communication skills in response to "I strongly agree". Those who are in the classroom say that school principals are more capable of communicative competence in response to "I mostly agree". Private school teachers responded positively to the "ability to communicate competence" of school principals compared to state school teachers in response to "I strongly agree".
