Extent of schoolmastar to create school culture

The point aimed in this research is to determine the extent of schoolmasters to create school culture by taking the opinions of teachers and administrators into account. In the research, general scanning method has been employed. The benchmark used in this research is ?Scale of Impact of Schoolmaster on School Culture?, a tool developed by the researcher.24 administrators and 224 teachers assigned in Kagithane Township of Istanbul Province forms the sample of this research. Data has been gathered from these administrators and teachers through scale method and assessed using SPSS 15 software. In order to determine whether or not the opinions of the administrators and teachers about the impact of schoolmaster on the lower dimensions of the school culture vary depending on the seniority, the ANOVA analysis has been conducted. The questionnaires have been have been made personally by the researcher. The schoolmasters holding administrative position at various schools have been selected by random for questionnaires. The questionnaires have been handed out to the participants following the appropriate explanations. The participants have been informed about the confidentiality of the research. The completed and returned questionnaire forms have been checked by the researches to sort out the ones with missing or faulty details.Based on the findings obtained out of the research, it has been determined there exists differences between the opinions of the teachers and administrators in the results related to their perceptions of impact of the schoolmaster on the school culture. It is concluded that given the differences, administrators favorably considers the impact of schoolmasters on the school culture, while the teachers considers the impact of headmasters on the school culture insufficient.
