Abstract (EN)
The importance of illustrated children's book isquite large in terms of children's emotional, physical and mental development. It's very important for a child to love the books he/she met at pre-school to acquire the habit of reading in her/his later life. The best way to do that is using qualified books prepared for pre-school children which includes illustrations as vistal stimuli. As the first perception of a 2-5 year child is vistal, the information which will be tought in this period through these books should be strong, clear and based an reality in terms of illustrations. Books help children for a better understanding of the world they live in. So, the illustrations in pre-school books shouldn't be in contradiction with the text and should be drawn and coloured to draw the attention of the child.
