Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the certain games? effect to psychomotor development of children in preschool period. To this respect, pre-post test control group model has been used. The universe as well as the sample of study consisted of children which group of age 6 receive education in Malatya and Adiyaman, at 2010-2011 academic year. 6 years old children in Malatya Kamu Görevlileri Nursery and Nursery Class of Adiyaman Namık Kemal Primary School constitute the sample in the 2010-2011 academic year. As the medium data collection a guestionnaire and a `Motor Performance Test? developed by the Morris and friends in 1980 has been used. Motor performance Test has been applied and measured ability of the children? to balance, to tab, to bounce, to run, to capture, to jump and ball throw.In the study, game activities which were thought to develop the psychomotor skills of children were carried out throughout two months (eight weeks) by two hours sessions per week. As a result of this activities, performances of children in the basic movement period (to balance, to tab, to bounce, to run, to capture, to jump and ball throw were evaluated according to their gender, age, height and weight. The collected data was processed in SPSS 15.0 and frequency, percentage and as data?s homogeneous distribution or not, t-test and simple correlation significance tests has been practised.As a result, games activities;- Except for ability of capture, balance, bounce, tab, run, jump and ball throw has effected positive,- The abilities of capture, balance, bounce, tab, run, jump and ball throw not to be different for age (month) of children,- The abilities of capture, bounce, tab, run, jump and ball throw not to be different for height of children,- The abilities of capture, bounce, tab, run, jump and ball throw not to be different for weight of children,- The girl? children ability of capture, bounce, tab, run, jump and ball throw has effected positive,-Except for capture the bot children, bounce, tab, run, jump and ball throw has effected positiveis emerged.There are several suggestions in parallel with the results that gained from the research.
