The relationship between pre-school teachers attitudes of field learning science and attention against science education and essentiality

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether there is a relationship between pre-school teachers' field levels in science subjects, attitudes towards science , attitudes towards science education and self-efficacy levels, and the relationship between science education knowledge and attitude and self-efficacy. The study group consists of a total of 194 preschool teachers working in public and private schools affiliated to Kastamonu Provincial Social Services Directorate and National Education Directorate. Four instruments were used in the study. The Attitude Scale Toward Chemistry developed by Geban, Ertepınar, Yılmaz, Altın and Şahbaz (1994) , Chemistry Attitude Scale developed by Thompson ve Shrigley (1986 ) and revised by Cho, Kim and Choi (2003) , The Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale developed by Tschannen-Moran and Hoy (2001), adapted to Turkish by Çapa and others (2005) and The field knowledge test the data was analyzed in the SPSS 21 packet program. In this study, pre-service teachers' knowledge of the field of science is medium level. Pre-service teachers' self-efficacy on science-related knowledge levels and attitudes towards science are low but effective. In this study, it was determined that the pre - school teachers' knowledge levels, attitude and self - efficacy in science subjects generally had a low level and positive relationship.
