Evaluation of communication and interaction with children in the classroom management of preschool teachers within the scope of child neglect

The aim of this study is to examine the communication and interaction with children in the classroom management of pre school teachers within the scope of child neglect. The study group formed 6 pre-school teachers with different socio economic levels in the central districts of Bursa province (Yıldırım and Nilüfer) in 2017-2018 academic year, working in two independent, a primary kindergarten, determined by maximum diversity sampling and volunteered. Accordingly, research data were obtained with semi-structured observation technique, one of the data collection techniques of qualitative studies. In the observations, the "Observation Form for Determining the Neglect Behavior of Preschool Teachers" developed by the researcher was used. According to the result of the study, the most educational neglect of pre-school teachers in the cases of communication and interaction with children in the classroom management , regardless of the socio-economic levels of the schools, and neglect behaviors caused by defects in classroom management, physical neglect, and emotional neglect behaviors are the least observed behaviors of medical neglect.
