It is a critical period in which the important skills of the pre-school and primary school students are gained. Pre-school and classroom teaching is key to nuturing these skills. The purpose of this study is to determine the self-efficacy of preschool and elementary school teachers in order to gain self-regulation skills that enable the student to become an individual who can control his or her own learning in this period. The research is a mixed model, qualitative and quantitative research methods are used. While the universe of the research was formed in Istanbul, the samples of the research were Bayrampaşa, Bahçelievler, Zeytinburnu and Bakırköy districts. The Self-Regulated Instruction Self-Efficacy Scale and the Semi-structured Interview Form were used as data collection tools. As a result of the research, pre-school and primary school teachers' self - efficacy self - efficacy scale for pre-school and primary school teachers was found to be the total point average (X ̅= 4,29). When we look at the sub-dimensions, it is seen that the lowest average is related to Trainingof Metacognitive Skill. Self-efficacy Scale related to Self-Regulation Insruction is different according to sex only in the dimension of Cognitive Skill Instruction (p <.05). This differentiation is directed at the benefit of female teachers. The mean scores of the Management Skill Instruction and the Cognitive Skill Instruction showed significant differences in educational status (p <.05) from the self-regulated self-efficacy scale and the sub-dimensions of the primary school teachers' self-regulated instruction (p <.05). The qualitative research findings also indicated that the teachers were eager to receive in-service training on self-regulation skills. It has been stated that the training should be in the form of modules for the in-service training which are intended to be done by the teachers, in the form of practical and activity examples.
