Investigation of job satisfaction, colleague relations and support of school administrators of physical education and sports teachers participating in school sports activities (Rize province example)

In this research, it is aimed to examine the job satisfaction, colleague relations and support perceptions of school administrators of physical education and sports teachers participating in school sports activities. General screening model was used in the research. The sample of the study consists of 134 volunteer teachers determined by simple random sampling method from physical education teachers working in Rize province and participating in school sports activities. "Job Satisfaction Scale", "Colleague Relationship Perception Scale" and "Administrative Support Perception Scale" were used in order to collect the necessary data in the study. T-test and ANOVA test were used in the analysis of the data. As a result of the analyses, it was seen that physical education and sports teachers participating in school sports generally had a medium level of job satisfaction in their working environment, colleague relations and school administrators' support. It has been concluded that there is no significant difference in teachers' job satisfaction, colleague relations and perceived support of school administrators depending on gender, marital status, educational status, region of employment, age, tenure, coaching certificate and participation in school sports. On the other hand, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the age variable, depending on the relationships of the teachers with their colleagues. It was determined that this difference was between the participants aged 49 and over and those aged between 34-38 years.
