Abstract (EN)

In information societies, individuals will renew and improve themselves, and asfor organizations will use management, system and techniques which are based oninformation. Increase of information, communication of information, technologicalchanges and developments cause the improvement and change of educationalinstitutions. The schools which are the source of information should renew themselvescontinuously, should divert information and technology to the society. In order to dothis, teachers and managers need to improve themselves to make knowledgemanagement and steps of application possible.This source aims to determine effective knowledge management skills ofmanagers who work at primary and secondary schools. Sample constitutes 145managers and 764 teachers who work at primary and secondary schools in Elazig. Apublic servey has been applied as the suitable to the aims of search. Knowledgemanagement has been searched under the titles of using technology, learning culturejoining into process and evaluating the process, leadership and self-realization.Some of the results obtained from search:- There are significant differences about the leadership and self-realization, usingtechnology, learning culture, joining into the knowledge management process andevaluating the knowledge management process among the teachers? and managers?ideas.- About the leadership on knowledge management and skills of self-realization,significant no differences have been found according to the gender, last educationalsituation, branches, management stages, management experiences, service year amongthe managers? ideas.- Among the teachers? ideas about the managers? skills of using technology forknowledge management, no significant differences have been found according to themanagement experience. But teachers who don?t have management experience havemarked the choice ?often? teachers who have management experience have marked the?all the time?.- For the idea that all the students can be successful, female and male managersmark the choice ?all the time?.- For the idea that a manager should be responsible about sharing the knowledge, bothgovernment school managers and private school managers has marked the choice ?allthe time?.Key Words: The Knowledge Management, The Skills of The KnowledgeManagement, The Learning Organizations, Intellectual Capital.
