Determinig school administrators management styles in terms of their relations with their personnel and task behaviors

The purpose of this study is to determine the administrative methods of school managers in primary education institutions in terms of their relations and professional behaviors in accordance with teacher perceptions. For this purpose, the study aims to prove if teacher perceptions on the subject matter make any significant difference in terms of several variables. The literature and phenomenal data have been carefully examined throughout the study.The study group involves teachers from primary education institutions in Atasehir, Umraniye and Uskudar in Istanbul province during 2011-2012 education year. The study utilizes from the scanning method. The scale prepared by the researcher is preferred during data collection process. Internal consistency reliability (Cronbach Alpha coefficients) is calculated by SPSS program in the statistical studies made to test the reliability of the data gathered.Frequency and percentage calculations are made when analyzing the data on individual characteristics of the groups participated in the study. The participants are asked to state their opinions in 32 questions in order to determine the administrative methods of school managers in terms of their responsibilities and relations and T-Test, one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Scheffe Test as a complementary Post Hoc Technique are applied to test the differences in their opinions and the data are assessed accordingly.As a result of the analysis made, it is concluded that there are significant differences in the responses given to the questions in the questionnaire in terms of gender, age, education level, professional rank, branch, working period in their school and the class level instructed by the teachers.
