The correlati̇on between school pri̇nci̇pals' transformati̇onal leadershi̇p feature level and teachers' psychologi̇cal capi̇tal percepti̇ons

The aim of this research is to reveal the correlation between school principals' transformational leadership feature level and teachers' psychological capital perceptions. For the research 468 teachers' who work in Denizli city central districts Merkezefendi and Pamukkale in 2014-2015 educational year perceptions were examined. The data were collected by using transformational leadership scale and psychological capital scale. In the analyse of data ; frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation values were calculated. And then indepentent sample t-test and anova tests were used.Correlation and regression analysis were used According to research results teachers perceive their school directors all sub dimensions of transformational leadership as normal level. Teachers' psychological capital perception level is high. Female teachers perceive directors' having vision and inspiring power dimension higher than male teachers.And also female techers self-efifacy perceptions are higher than males'. Teachers' perceptions about directors' having transformational leadership level differ in creating role models, intellectual interest and high performance expectation levels in terms of professional seniority. Teachers' psychological capital differ in extroversion level in terms of professional seniority. Teachers' perceptions of school principals' transformational leadership feature level and teachers' psychological capital don't differ in terms of number of teachers working at the same school. Besides; teachers' perceptions of school principals' transformational leadership feature level and teachers' psychological capital don't differ in terms of working time at the same school and education level. According to teachers perceptions there is a significant positive correlation between school principals' transformational leadership feature level and teachers' psychological capital.According to teachers perceptions school principals' transformational leadership level predicts teachers' psychological capital.
