Abstract (EN)
The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between the ethical leadership behaviors by school managers and the organizational justice and motivation levels of physical education teachers. To this end, the ?Ethical Leadership?, ?Organizational Justice? and motivation scales were applied, within the scope of the study, on three hundred and nine physical education teachers in the provinces of Ankara, Kırıkkale, Konya, Kırşehir, Mersin, Erzurum and Batman. In the process of the analysis of the data obtained in the study, descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis H tests, Spearman?s Rank Correlation Coefficients and Regression Analysis were employed.According to the findings obtained, it was found out that the physical education teachers who participated in the study stated that the school managers high levels of ethical leadership behaviors and that their perception for the justice in their schools and their level of motivation were also at high levels. Besides, while the ethical leadership perceptions of the teachers did not differ by their years of service, it was found out that the variables of gender and age and whether they had served as manager before were influential on their opinions. Moreover, it was found out that ethical behaviors by school managers increased the sense of organizational justice among the teachers and that there was a parallelism between the communicational ethics and behavioral ethics, which are among the lower dimensions of the ethical leadership scale, and the organizational justice perception. On the other hand, it was also found out that the ethical leadership behaviors of school managers had an inverse effect on the motivational levels of teachers, but when this effect is analyzed based on the lower dimensions of the ethical leadership scale it was seen only the lower dimension of communicational leadership had an inverse effect on the motivational levels of teachers.Key Words: Ethical Leadership, Organizational Justice, Motivation
