Determining management styles according to the perspective of behaviors of employees and personality traits of school administrators

In this research , management style is targeted to be identified in respect of personality traits? of school administrators and their altitudes towards employees. Field of research consists of the people serving as a teacher in nineteen primary schools and seven secondary schools in a district of Çayırova that is in Kocaeli in second term of 2010-2011 education year .Survey that is conducted is composed of three sections.Personal information takes place in first section and target of search and items prepared for to be replied to sub- questions takes place in second and third section.Three hundred and forty eight teachers could be attained in this research .Nevertheless three hundred and forty- five surveys have come back.It is seen in analysis of the surveys that some teachers haven t filled in survey in accordance with the regulations.Four surveys that haven?t been filled in fairly weren?t taken into account.Thereby surveys of three hundred and forty one have been taken into consideration.Spss statistics programme has been used to analyse datas acquired from surveys that has been applied to subjects.Frequency (N), percent (%) , average (X), standart deviation (Ss) are conducted that are one of the scientific statistics while analysing the datas .T - test analyis has been carried out for gender and branch variables . Single way variance (ANOVA)has been conducted to determine whether there are variations among group variables in terms of age, years of office ,standart of learning and working time in a school .Charts have been formed and interpreted for the evidences that has been acquired.Meaningful differences have been found in gender, age, years of office and working hours variances to identify management syle in respect of personal characters of school managers and their point of wiew about his employees ` altitudes .To the answers about protective management style directed to subjects ,meaningful differences have been found in gender ,age ,and years of office variances. To the answers about authoritative management style directed to subjects ,meaningful differences have been found in gender ,age ,and years of office variances . To the answers about collaboration management style directed to subjects ,meaningful differences have been found in gender ,age ,and years of office variances.
