The opinions of teachers and school managers about the causes of quality differences among schools

This survey aims to find out the causes of quality differences among schools. The survey made of scanning model. 1158 (one thousand one hundreds fifty eight) teachers and 212(two hundreds twelve) school managers that have been working at the schools of Gördes, Selendi, Köprübaşı, Demirci in Manisa during 2016-2017 educational year compose the universe of the survey. 336 teachers and 43 school managers compose the sample of the survey. Random sample model is used while determining the participants that will take part at the sample part of the survey. The data in the survey is being together with the questionare about the opinions of managers and teachers about the causes of quality differences among schools. T-test for independent groups, one sided ANOVA test, if there is distinct differences Tukey HSD Analyses is used to determine the differences among groups while analysing of total points taken from surveys related to various variants. According to the results of survey the participants' mostly contributed factors about the causes of quality differences between among schools are that not supporting of the families whose socio-economical level is low to the educations of their children enoughly ; teachers ' not working at disadvantages schools for long times; being differences among schools in the country compared with physical and technological differences; being distinct socio-economical differences among the country. ; distinct differences among schools about the number of the students in the classrooms ; not having the equal chance for reaching the sources of informations (library , internet vs) for students ; not overcoming the burning out of teachers because of environmental and geographic factors ; being differences among students compared with their sensational and cognitive readiness; having different socio-cultural and environmental characteristics of schools around the country and being distinct differences among schools compared to institutional culture(positive atmosphere for learning). It can be seen while determining participants 'opinions about the causes of quality differences among schools related to gender that showing distinct differences at almost all of the points in the favor of women. It is also seen that the participants' opinions about the causes of quality differences among schools related to branch don't show meaningful differences; but for two points related to training (university degree and associate degree). It is seen that seniority variaty shows distinct differences for nine points. While for the variaty of working hours at school shows distinct differences for two points, duty variaty (school manager-teacher) don't show distinct differences.
