The evaluatun of the strategic management and the application of strategic plans at schools according to the perception of the managers of secondary i̇nstitutions.

As there is a rapid change in all systems there is also a rapid change in our education system. As a result of this situation there occured lots of management techniques to stand against and adjust or to have a role in directing the change. The strategic Management goes forward with its dynamism, being forward-looking, sensible for the enviroment, depending on the knowledge and analyse in other management techniques. In this study, the development periods of the strategic planning and strategic management which we face in much more areas nowadays and being applied in public recently, and as it became a legal must according to the law 5018 at public financial management and control are held, and the application of them in schools are told in details. This thesis has studied with the aims of increasing the performances of the schools with a good understanding of strategic management and strategic planning and with the idea of more beneficial and effective use of the restricted sources. The thesis has five parts. The first part is the introduction and here it describes the condition of the problem, problem sentence, subproblems , importance of investigation and restrictions. The second part draws the conceptual frames, in this part strategy consepts and its general characteristics, the development of strategic management understanding, and the strategic plan concept which requires strategic management with its charecteristics and benefists and the process of the strategic planning at school is investigated in details by literature scanning. In the third part, the method, model, coverage area, samole, data collecting devices are mentioned, and explained. In the fourth part, the results of the field and their comments are mentioned. In the last and the fifth part, the result and the comments take place. In this part with the results gained during the investigations there are also advices for the education managers and researchers.
