Abstract (EN)
This study aims to examine the interior designs of public preschool education institutions in Ankara province regarding ergonomic, visual, and communication elements, and to provide improvement suggestions based on teachers' perspectives. Designed as a relational survey model among descriptive research methods, the study is supported by literature review and questionnaire data. The research population consists of approximately 3,900 teachers working in public preschool education institutions in Ankara during the 2024-2025 academic year. The sample includes 562 teachers selected through random sampling method. Data were collected using the "Evaluation of Interior Designs in Preschool Education Institutions" questionnaire developed by the researcher. For data analysis, descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, frequency distributions) were used for the first research question, while Independent Samples t-Test and One-Way ANOVA were applied for the second question. Findings indicate that visual and ergonomic elements in preschool institutions are largely adequate. However, classroom sizes were found insufficient relative to student numbers, with identified deficiencies in communication aspects and teachers' rest periods. Significant differences were observed in teachers' opinions based on their professional seniority. This study provides policy recommendations for improving physical conditions in preschool education institutions and enhancing teacher-student interaction.
