Abstract (EN)

The science of kalam, has been a discipline that has been trying to prove the beliefs of Islam with reason and transplant evidence since its emergence. Theologians have written important theological works from the early periods, including the basic topics summarized in theology. One of the last representatives of the Ottoman tradition of science and thought, the late Omar Nasuhi Bilmen adhered faithfully to the scientific heritage that had come to him with his works. At the same time, he not only touched on classical issues with his works that he wrote in response to anti-religious movements that emerged in the Western world, but also drew attention to new issues and problems. For this reason, he tried to answer the claims of denialist philosophical movements such as materialism, Darwinism and positivism, the most important philosophical movements of his age. Although Kalam prepared his works as a textbook, it is seen that his evidence and explanations still have a persuasive quality. The fact that philosophical currents that Bilmen criticized continues to have a significant effect today and perform destructive effects on young generations still maintains the importance and value of these criticisms.
