Abstract (EN)

Gender is a definition of identity that shapes our lives according to our physiology, which we have acquired later on how to determine our life. Some of the inequalities that we are exposed to because of our gender difference lead us to not live ourselves. Gender inequalities that are more self-evident in male predominant societies lead to other forms other than women. In the 1960s, the concept of gender, which has been discussed with feminism and sexual liberation movement, is still a controversial phenomenon. At that time, the most important issues that the artists were interested in were gender, identity, sexuality and freedom on the individual. The art Works which are made within this thesis is focused on the female body becuse to the femininity rather than the phenomenon of masculinity While the definition of masculinity is identified with power and power, the definition of femininity is made from the aspect of sexuality. Therefore, the fact that the woman becomes an object of desire and has become an object of desire other than her identity objectifies her. That's why I painted the woman in my paintings. The woman has broken away from her own reality, and has transformed into sexual organs of desire. I do not want to show the rebuilt bodies to the viewer with the paintings I made, it still keeps the perception that there is a social problem.
