Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the role of job satisfaction in relation between organizational commitment and counterproductive work behaviors. For this purpose, the sample of this study was composed from 220 employees who works in İstanbul, İzmir, Samsun and Bolu. The data collection method was survey. At the end of the analyses it was demonstrated that, there were significant correlations between the research variables (organizational commitment, job satisfaction, counterproductive work behavior). This study showed that job satisfaction was a mediator in relationship between organizational commitment and counterproductive work behaviors. At the end of the analysis it was suggested that general, internal and external job satisfaction were mediators in relationship between dimensions of organizational commitment (general, continuous and emotional) and withdrawing dimension of counterproductive work behavior. Withdrawing is a passive action when compared with other counterproductive work behaviors such as exploitation, stealing and sabotage. Significant findings can be summarized as follows: general job satisfaction and external job satisfaction were mediators in relationship between general organizational commitment and withdrawing behavior. Internal job satisfaction and external job satisfaction were mediators in relationship between continues, commitment and withdrawing behavior. Finally, external job satisfaction was a mediator in relationship between emotional commitment and withdrawing. The research findings have been discussed in the light of related literature.
