One sample case on the relationship between organizational trust with organizational commitment

The concept of organizational commitment is a relatively new phenomenon in Turkey?s behavioral sciences literature. There are various research on the relation between this concept with job satisfaction, organizational culture, leadership et cetera. But there is so few research about the relation between organizational commitment and organizational trust. This research aims to be one of the first contributions to the Turkey?s behavioral sciences literature in this area.The main focus of this study is to determine whether the organizational trust is an effective component on organizational commitment tendency. For this purpose, first a detailed literature survey is done on organizational trust and organizational commitment. Later, according to the findings from the literature study, a survey work with 112 workers in a company working in heay industry has been made to determine if there is a relation between organizational trust and organizational commitment tendency.In the last part of the study, the data gathered from survery work analyzed by SPSS 10.0 software to determine the relationship between organizational trust and organizational commitment tendency. The analyses showed that there is a possitive relationship between organizational trust and organizational commitment.Keywords: Trust, Organizational Trust, Organizational Commitment,Behavioural Sciences
