The impact of organizational socialization on theperformance of workers; a research on accomodationsourcing in Van province

Tourism sector is a busy sector which is dependent on labour force for service chain being completed in a perfect way like many other sectors. That socialization, communication, compliance process, motivation and satisfaction of the employees in this service chain affect the employee's communication with guests and other colleagues and that this directly affects business continuity and profitability is an inevitable fact. Organizational socialization encompasses the process by which individuals who are new to the business acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes for adapting to the business, adopting the organization, and business continuity. It is difficult to find a long-term employee as the labor turnover rate is high in the accommodation establishments. At this stage, every new employee experiences problems in getting used to the business and adaptation process. Sometimes, businesses can fall into aims such as reducing the number of staff and increasing profitability. Accomodation businesses with purposes such as doing a lot of work with fewer staff neglect service quality in this section and may not be aware that they are damaging the business. Target population of the study consists of 4 and 5 star accommodation businesses operating in Van. Within the scope of this study, data was collected from 4 and 5 star accommodation bussinesses operating in Van province using questionnaire technique. The data collection tool used consists of three parts. In the first part, there are expressions related to the demographic features, in the second part, the statements that measure the socialization levels of the employees and in the third part, the statements related to the performance of the employees. Collected data were analyzed through spss package program. As a result of the analyzes carried out, a positive relationship and a significant effect were determined between organizational socialization and employee performance.
