Socio-economic situation of Turks and Mongols in medieval travelogues (X.-XV. centuries)

The Turks and the Mongols are two sibling nations, which have great importance for the history of the world and aren't similar any other than themselves. Both have been emerged from the Asian steppes and both have been played important roles in the history of the mankind. The impact created by these nations, without a doubt, have been stemmed from their repective cultures. Due to incomprehensibility of the harsh conditions they have been living, particularly the Mongols often have been seen as an enemy of civilization and the achievements of Genghis Khan have been overlooked. Turks, like Mongols, emerged from the steppes of Asia and after the emigrations they had, have been established new and deep-rooted states where they went. Indicating the qualities of administration and the discipline they had, this have been stemmed from their culture as well. The civilizations created by these nations have been seen firsthand by the travellers. These people, who travelled due to various purposes, have been record both the things that familiar to them and the things that considered bizarre by them. In this study, travelogues, which are important for the cultural history, have been examinated and studied for the purpose of demonstrating the Turks' and the Mongols' social and economic conditions between 10th and 15th centuries.
