The factors that affect the school choice of secondary education (high school) students (İstanbul province Sancaktepe district)

In this research titled "the factors that affectthe school choice of secondary education (highschool) students", we examined the factors that influence the choice of high schools where primary education students wish to receive education. The research is comprised of four sections; the introduction and the status of the problem, the relationship between education and other (human, communication, society and school) concepts and factors that affect school choice, methods, findings and comments, conclusion and suggestions. The universe of this study consists of 9th and 12th grade students currently attending the secondary education institutes in Sancaktepe District, Istanbul Province in the 2015-2016 education year. The research sample consists of 9th and 12th grade students determined by way of random sampling in this general universe. 251 students from 9th graders and 156 from 12th graders have participated in the survey. 407 people were reached, 221 of which were female and 186 of which were male. Individual data survey was used to take the students' personal views in our research. The data acquired by means of individual data survey were analyzed with the percentage (%) and frequency (f) methods in accordance with the purposes.
