Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine secondary school students' attitudes towards football and football expectations in terms of some variables. The research was conducted using the survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The population of the research consists of secondary school students between the ages of 14-18. The sample of the research consists of 340 secondary school students between the ages of 14-18 in Amasya province and district centers. As data collection tools in the study, the "Personal Information Form" created by the researcher, the "Football Attitude Scale" developed by Güven and Öncü (2011) and the "Football Expectation Scale" developed by Var (2015) were used. All data were transferred to the SPSS program and findings were obtained by applying analysis. As a result of the analysis, a statistically significant difference was found between the genders of the secondary school students, their status of playing licensed football, their status of playing football in the digital environment, their status of watching a football match in the stadium, their status of watching a football match on television, their status of finding the VAR system reliable, and their attitudes towards football and football expectation levels. While it was determined that there was a partially significant difference between the ages, places of birth, grade levels, attitudes towards football and football expectation levels of the Secondary School Students participating in the research.
