Examining the effects of school, family, socio-cultural environment on secondary school students' orientation to sports and evaluating their academic achievements

Thisgap in participation is oftenattributedtosocietalexpectationsandstereotypesthatdiscouragegirlsfromparticipating in sports. However, recentstudieshaveshownthatthisgap can be filledwithprogramsthatencouragegirlstoparticipate in sportsandprovidethemwith role modelsandsupport. However, withtherightsupportandencouragementagainstpossiblenegativities, theseobstacles can be overcomeandmorestudents can havetheopportunitytoparticipate in sportsandbenefitfromthemanybenefitsthatsportsbring.
