The view and the suggestion of the students with special needs and teachers in inclusive applications in secondary education

The purpose of this study is to determine the academic and psycho social problems that the teachers educating hearing-impaired students in the inclusive education in several high schools in Bolu encountered and their suggestions. This research was conducted at 3 different schools that had inclusive education in the 2012-2013 school years in the province of Bolu, with the participation of 15 teacher and 6 hearing impaired students in inclusive education. In this research, of the qualitative research methods semi-structured interview technique was used and the data was gathered via face to face interviews. During the analysis of qualitative data that was gathered from the interviews, a content analysis consisting of the process of decoding, themesand organizing of this data has been made. According to research findings; when the teacher's views are taken into consideration. They don't have information about student's impairment. The teachers have indicated that physical arrangements were made in the classrooms. They have stated that inclusive students can't get on well with their classmates. The teachers teaching in inclusive education have indicated that the same evaluation scale was used for both inclusive students and the other students. It is remarked that school administration and other school staff have not supported the teachers about this issue. The inclusive students in the research have stated that they weren't informed as their teachers. They also said they can't get on well with their classmates. In contrast with the teacher's remarks, inclusive students have told that there are no physical arrangements in their classrooms. As a result of this study; it is come out that teaching in inclusive education don't have enough knowledge and skills about inclusive education and inclusive students. They have stated that they weren't informed about inclusive students. They have stated that they weren't informed about inclusive students sufficiently. In addition to this, it has been understood that the students weren't informed,either.Finally, problems both the teachers and students encountered in inclusive education are inconvenient physical atmosphere in classrooms, the abundance of class sizes and inappropriate evaluation scales for inclusive students.
