Comparative study of the curriculum for the secondary school physical education course prepared in 2006-2013-2017-2018

In this research, secondary school physical education and sports course 2006, 2013, 2017 and 2018 curriculum, vision and philosophy structures, aims, basic movement skills, measurement and evaluation approaches, learning areas, sub-learning areas and achievements, teaching methods and techniques recommended in the implementation of the program were examined. The program has been comparatively examined in terms of its relationship with the application instruction, intermediate and main disciplines. In the research conducted in descriptive design, document analysis technique was used. As a result of the research, it was observed that the 2006 curriculum was prepared at primary education grades 1-8, while the 2013, 2017 and 2018 curriculums were developed only for secondary school. It has been understood that the 2006, 2013, 2017 and 2018 curriculums are structurally similar, and the constructivist approach is adopted in all of them. It has been determined that the 2006 curriculum is more teacher and subject-centered than other programs, therefore it cannot adequately reflect all the elements of the constructivist approach, and grade levels are not taken into account in the acquisitions. It has been understood that there's no vision articulation in other curriculums, but for the 2006 curriculum, which the vision statement within the 2006 curriculum isn't precisely a vision statement. While statements such as simplification and revision were made in 2017 and 2018 curriculums from 2013, values education were included, similar gains were combined and their number was reduced, the program implementation directive in the 2006 curriculum, stakeholders, children with special needs, school opportunities were given in detail under different headings. It has been understood that it is considered as the principles to be considered in practice. It has been obtained that the teaching methods and assessment and evaluation methods and techniques in the programs have more student-centered and more reasonable capabilities for the constructivist approach from 2006 to 2018.
