The environment conscious levels of middle school students

This study examines the environment conscious levels of middle school students in accordance with some demographic variables. The study is designed in survey model and the sample is consisted of 732 middle school students attending 9 different middle schools in the centre of Antalya. Data were obtained by "Environment Attitude Scale". In data analysis process, t-test and One Way Anova techniques were used. Findinsgs od this study were examined by "total", "environmental feeling", "environmental information", "environmetal concern" and "environmental behaviour"dimensions in accordance with demographic variables. Total environment conscious levels of students showed difference in gender, level of interest in social studies lesson, grade and mother's job variables. On the other hand, variables such as kind of campus, education level of parents, father's job and family income showed no difference.
