The subject of this study is Orientalism in the context of marginalization and domination. It has been explained that Orientalism is a scientific effort that claims to know, understand and interpret the East, but in the process, it turns into an instrumental function in consolidating the West's dominance over the East by building its work on the axis of marginalization and domination. In this context, the focus is on what form orientalism evolved in the process, based on the breaking points of history such as the Ancient Age, which sharply defined the East-West distinction, the birth of Islam, geographical discoveries, colonial activities and the modern period. In fact, when we look at the whole process, the West's tradition of interpreting the world through a categorical separation begins with Ancient Greece.
