The relationship of automation technologies with warehouse risks review on e-commerce sector

In today's business world, where the trade activities brought about by globalization have become widespread and the volume of international trade is gradually increasing, businesses especially need to keep their logistics costs under control. It has become an inevitable necessity of improvement initiatives for all kinds of cost elements. Automation activities carried out by e-commerce enterprises focusing on warehouse management operations in their supply chain processes help businesses improve their costs and make their business processes permanent. In this respect, it is important to examine the relationship between warehouse management-based automation applications and the concept of risk management. In light of all this information, this research aims to classify the automation studies in the field of warehouse management with a literature review, especially e-commerce. To determine the warehouse risks in the field. Afterward, the sector employees working in the companies operating in the E-Commerce sector in Turkey were contacted with the survey method and their opinions on the warehouse management processes and the risks in these processes and risk management strategies were obtained. It has been seen that the most important risks in warehouse automation applications are investment costs and employed education level.
