Abstract (EN)
Individuals with mental deficiency are required to be a profession in order to live independently and to have producing and fruitful role in public. These individuals require the profession education process besides academic skills and communal living abilities. This study aims to analyze teacher opinions related to the effectiveness on the acquisition profession of training at special education profession schools. This study have carried out on the qualitative research methods. The semi-structured interview forms which are made by the researcher have been used as data collection tool. The participants of study have consisted of 8 profession teachers and 7 special education teachers who has worked at special education profession schools under Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education. The findings in research have been resolved by using descriptive analysis. The datas which have analyzed in accordance with the opinions of participants have been tabularized. The results obtained from this study have indicated that aim and content of profession lesson programs have measured up acquisition profession and teachers have some problems related to students and equipment during the acquisition profession. Furthermore, results show that profession lessons, independent living lessons and professional ethic lessons are skills which make acquisition profession easy. This study reveals that students with mental disability can work many areas and have adequately professional ability after graduation. This study demonstrated that arrangements are made EKPSS related to employment, variety of workshop are enhanced, public and private sector cooperation is needed to provide. Besides, this study stated that teachers expect parents have realist expections for students, teacher and parent cooperation is provided and expectations of school administration are material support and workshops which have built in accordance with employment areas. It is expressed that self-development in special education and knowledge of students are expectations of teachers, widening of employment areas and improvement of physical conditions are expectations of ministry.
