Abstract (EN)

Due to the war in Syria, refugees suffered serious losses in their countries and were displaced. However, they migrated to other countries with the dream of a better and livable life. The Covid-19 pandemic, which emerged all over the world in 2020, further affected Syrian refugees trying to live under difficult conditions. This study was designed to determine some psychological variables of this effect. Within the scope of the research, face-to-face interviews were conducted with 224 adolescent refugees aged between 11 and 15. The data of the study were measured using Demographic Form, Child Hope Scale (CSS), Child Symptom Evaluation Inventory (COSDE), Child and Adolescent Trauma Evaluation Questionnaire (CATS) and Child Depression Scale (CDI). The research is an example of the relational screening model. As a result of the findings, it was found that there was a relationship between the trauma level, post-traumatic symptoms, psychological symptoms, depression and hope levels of the participants and the variables also differed according to the demographic variables in the study. Keywords: refugee, pandemic, trauma, depressive symptom, adolescent
