Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to determine the functions expected from the money in the transition period to the knowledge economy by considering the changes in monetary history. By describing the demand for Money and also indispensable elements of it, the study includes how the money has existed in the literature. In the study, the place of the money, its history and the importance of crypto coins in human history are investigated. Through comparing Crypto currencies and countries, the emergence of the crypto currencies and crypto money markets is searched, and the place of crypto currency markets in the world economy and its effects on Turkey's economy has been detailed. The starting point of the study is the interest and demand of Turkish economy in crypto money markets and the investments of the economic components in crypto currency markets. It is envisaged that the management and use of the mentioned demand in the right way, would decrease the demand of the Turkish economy for the hot money.
