Abstract (EN)
The dissertation study named "Pasolini and Political Cinema" is about to probe roots of political notion philosophically and etymologically and its brief history as well as to scrutinize relations between politics and cinema, most particularly Italian Cinema. After the Second World War, Pier Paolo Pasolini was considered to be an extreme example of an Italian Art and Literature with his remarkable talents such as creation, authentication, bravery, sensitivity. His analytical and critical approach contribute substantial benefits on the 1960's and 1970's intellectual richness. Due to significant contributions of Pier Paolo Pasolini to the political cinema, this study is meant to research thoroughly his life, personality, creations and movies have been scrutinized in addition to his political ideas which had marvelous impacts to political cinema.
