Abstract (EN)

In our study, manganese oxide (K-OMS-2) solid supported PdCo bimetallic nanoparticles (Pd0.2Co0.8, Pd0.5Co0.5, Pd0.8Co0.2) were prepared and characterized by using conventional impregnation-reduction method. Advanced analytical methods such as ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer), P-XRD (Powder X-ray Diffraction), FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy), XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy), EDX (Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy), and TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) were used for characterization of PdXCo1-X@K-OMS-2 nanoclusters. Average particle size of the Pd0.2Co0.8@K-OMS-2 nanoparticles were found as daverage=5.8± 0.6 nm. Pd0.2Co0.8@K-OMS-2 nanocatalyst was tested in Suzuki-Miyaura C-C coupling reactions. Water at boiling temperature was used as solvent in the reaction and high catalytic activity with high conversion (>98%) and selectivity (>99%) was obtained. Furthermore, recycling of Pd0.2Co0.8@K-OMS-2 nanocatalyst in Suzuki-Miyaura C-C coupling reactions was investigated and found that it can be recycled five times, indicating that it is an economic heterogeneous catalyst.
