Abstract (EN)

The rapid increase in the human population in recent years has increased the dependence on natural resources. Depletion of available resources, increase in industrial waste due to population, has led to future concerns at the national and international level. The most preferred road transportation from past to present; infrastructure construction, coating industry, post-construction maintenance, repair and protection require large amounts of natural and limited resources. Depending on environmental conditions on the highway superstructure; the increase in traffic volume, the negative effects of climate and construction conditions, and repeated heavy traffic loads cause deformations on the superstructure coating. In order to prevent road deformations, modifications of hot bituminous mixtures are made. In this study, the usability of pomace heap, which is produced as production waste in olive oil factories in Mersin region, as a recycling product in bitumen modification was examined. Within the scope of the study, the rheological properties of the bitumen modification were examined in 4 different ratios as 1%, 2%, 4% and 8% by mass. For modified bitumen samples; penetration, softening point, flash point, dynamic shear rheometer (DSR), rotating thin film aging (RTFOT) and post-aging; penetration, softening point, dynamic shear rheometer (DSR), beam bending rheometer (BBR), Vitality adhesion, Nicholson peeling tests were performed. The results obtained were compared with the results of the witness bitumen sample.
