Abstract (EN)
This work is an attempt to understand the term of "dunamis" (δύναμις) Plato's thought, based on Plato's dialogues. In order to demonstrate the central role of this term in Plato's thought, we will first investigate this term in view of the main concepts of philosophy such as "aretê" (ἀρετή), "epistêmê" (ἐπιστήμη) and "kosmos" (κόσμος). Subsequently, by examining the Sophist dialogue in which a critical use of dunamis occurs, we show that the source of me on (μὴ ὂν) is dunamis. Through the orientation Sophist provides us, by bringing up Plato's confrontation with Parmenides, we argue that Plato used the term of dunamis both to oppose Parmenides and to determine his own view of philosophy and being.
