Abstract (EN)
5,10,15,20 tetrakis-(phenoxy acetic acid) porphyrin and calix[4]crown-4 were synthesized and these ligands were chemically bound to Merrifield polymer resin. By FTIR, 1H NMR and elemental analysis, the resulting resins were characterized. The amount of attached phenoxy acetic acid porphyrin and calix[4]crown-4 to the polymer resin and were found to be 0.242 and 0.489 mmol g-1 resin, respectively. Several parameters, such as flow rate (sorption and desorption), concentration of acid for desorption, sorption capacity of the chelating resin, optimum pH, preconcentration factor and distribution coefficient for investigated metal ions were examined. The validities of the proposed methods were checked by analyzing these metal ions in standard soil samples. The most remarkable features of the modified resins were their high metal sorption capacities with good preconcentration factor values. Using phenoxy acetic acid porphyrin in aqueous solution and sol-gel matrix, the fluorimetric determination of zirconium was studied. Phenoxy acetic acid porphyrin has highly luminescent property with emission wavelengths of 660 and 658 nm in aqueous solution and sol-gel matrix respectively. It was seen that optimum pH range in porphyrin-Zr complex was 5.0-7.0 for both medium. The complex became stable within 20 min in aqueous solution and 40 min in sol-gel matrix. The fluorescence intensity was linear for 2.0-25 ?g mL-1 of zirconium in both medium. The proposed fluorimetric zirconium determination method was succesfully applied to the analysis of real and standard soil samples. Keywords: Solid phase extraction, preconcentration, porphyrin, calixcrown, fluoresence quenching, sol-gel.
