The life and memories of Rauf Fico

In the recent periods of Ottoman, there have beenmany events that have accelerated the collapse ofthe empire. Rebellions and chaos after the nations' reavest for independence are the leading ones. In such a big chaos there was a district governor who is working and trying hard to prevent the collapse of the empire. That chaos environment was discussed in the memoirs of Rauf Bey. In this thesis, it is aimed to be understood how Rauf Bey evalvated the events. The thesis involves 1944, the period between the birth year of Rauf Bey, 1881 and 1944 until hes death. However, the years, which Rauf Bey served in Ottoman Empire, were mainly dealt with. Especially, it has been concentrated on Yabanabad, under its current name Kızılcahamam. This is because Rauf Bey stated all the activities in Yabanabad in his memoirs during the 2 years hi was carrying his duty, and also he wrote so long reports to the governorship about the subject. By analyzing these reports, it has been tried to deal with all the favourable and un favourable aspects of the period. In those reports he gave headlines seperately.
