Abstract (EN)
The main objective of this thesis is to analyze how the visual elements used by advertising agencies vary based on geographical and cultural factors and the impact of regional differences on advertising designs. In this context, a survey of visual elements obtained from advertising agencies is examined, exploring the evaluations made on the selection of visual elements and the impact of regional parameters on these elements. The thesis will examine the use of advertising elements specific to Central Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia, and the Aegean regions. The traditional values of Central Anatolia, the ethnic diversity of Eastern Anatolia, and the modern lifestyle of the Aegean region lead to the preference for different visual elements in advertising designs in these regions. The methods used in the thesis include both quantitative (survey) and qualitative (visual content analysis) data collection techniques. By comparing advertisements from a specific region with those from other regions, the thesis aims to reveal the differences in visual element selection due to regional parameters and the implications of these differences on advertising strategies.
