Abstract (EN)
The text of this work focuses on the perception of transparency and its place in art. It was created to examine the effects of transparency perception and physical transparency on two-dimensional and three-dimensional surfaces. The factors of transparency have been researched in the context of space, space and void, and the layers of existence; and layer structures of artworks have been discussed through layer theories. In this research, the characteristics of literal (real/physical) and phenomenal (phenomenal/conceptual) transparency are included. The phenomenon of transparency, which is the main subject of the text, has been examined symbolically as well as being literal and phenomenal, and how it is handled through the works is examined according to the data obtained. It is evaluated on how philosophers deal with this issue in terms of human and social structure. The physical and perceptual conditions in the perception of transparency have been categorized through studies such as Metelli's x-junctions,Talbot's Laws, Wolfgang Metzger Mosaic Method, and Ehrenstein Diagram and examined with examples. In order to understand the effects of transparency, analyses were made on works of art, literature review on the concept was made, and literal and phenomenal transparency were methodologically examined. In this research, observations, theories, and experiments on transparency in different disciplines were brought together. The analysis of transparency on selected works from various periods of art history also makes this study important. In parallel with the research carried out, personal work reviews and texts were examined by comparing them with examples from the history of art, and the innovations revealed as well as the similarities between the works were emphasized.
