Abstract (EN)
Technological developments and law have always been in a close relationship. In this context, developments and innovations in field of robotics and artificial intelligence have occupied the agenda of jurists for a long time. The use of artificial intelligence systems in robots has undoubtedly brought them some new features. However this has also led to them having some legally important risks. The unpredictable behaviors of robots due to their learning ability and autonomy has brought significant difficulties in establishing liability for damages caused by these robots. In this thesis, it is focused on who, under which provisions, is/should be liable for the damages caused by robots with artificial intelligence. By doing this, it is determined whether current legal provisions are sufficient and it is investigated which steps can be taken in terms of de lege ferenda. Since liability for accidents caused by autonomous vehicles, which is the one of prominent examples of robots, has a special importance, this issue is also elaborated. In the examination, especially opinions in comparative law and the studies of the European Union in this field are referred.
