Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study role conflict and role ambiguity related to their level of occupational burnout of health care workers according to the variables to examine. The sample of the study consisted of 273 health personnel working in Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital and Istinye State Hospital affiliated to Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate. In the study, Maslach Burnout Inventory, Role Conflict and Role Uncertainty Inventories were used. As a result of this research, it was aimed to determine the burnout levels experienced by the health personnel working in the health facilities of Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate, to determine the relationship between some variables and burnout levels and to find solutions to the problem by determining the source of exhaustion problem from this point. According to research findings, it is beneficial to provide personal development, to organize institutional events on an intermittent basis, to provide staff participation and to improve working conditions in order to prevent the high exhaustion experienced by health workers. In the light of the data obtained from the research of health personnel in health facilities by offering measures to prevent the depletion it is believed that will contribute to the quality of services.
