Abstract (EN)

Objective: To study the RA and AS diseases with HBV and HCV virüses in dual with etiopatogenesis, concordance, differantial diagnosis, and treatment.Materials and Method: 101 RA, 117 AS patients were included in our study. Two different control groups composed of 113 person for RA group, 94 person for AS group. All patients records reviewed for serological status retrospectively. All patients examined for demographic characteristics, duration of disease and treatment regimens. For disease activity, serum ESR and CRP levels recorded. Hepatitis enzymes, serum AST and ALT values were recorded. HBs Ag, HBs Ab and anti-HCV screening were performed in all patients. All patients positive for HBs Ag assesed for HBe Ag, HBe Ab, HBc Ag, HBc Ab, HBV ?DNA. Anti HCV positive patients were tested for HCV-RNA parameter. All positive ratios compared with RA, AS and control groups. Results: Mean ages were 51.9±12.6 and 38.4±11.1 years in patients with RA and AS, respectively. HBs Ag prevelance of %1.9 (2/101) was found in RA group. There was no differ statistically in RA group compared with control group. Positive results in HBs Ag and/or HBs Ab were assesed as viral contact. HBs Ag and/or HBs Ab prevelance of % 37.6 (38/101) were found in RA group. There was no differ statistically in RA group compared with control group.Anti-HCV prevelance of %0.9 (1/101) found in RA group. There was no differ statistically in RA group compared with control group.HBs Ag prevelance of %6 (7/117) found in AS group. There was no differ statistically in AS group compared with control group. HBs Ag and/or HBs Ab prevelance of %46.1 (54/117) were found in AS group. There was no differ statistically in AS group compared with control group.Anti HCV prevelance of %0.8 (1/117) found in AS group. There was no differ statistically in AS group compared with control group. Conclusion: RA and AS diseases in dual with etiopatogenesis, concordance, differential diagnosis and treatment regimen are firmly assosiated with HBV and HCV viruses. We aimed to enlighten this assosiation. New studies are needed in this issue.
