Abstract (EN)
Sabahat Emir is one of our women writers who has an important place in Turkish literature after 1960 with the works she wrote. The author, who produced works in many genres such as poetry, memoirs, essays, novels, theaters and screenplays, came to the forefront mostly with her stories. In this study, the novels of the author and the only theatrical work she wrote were discussed in terms of structure and theme. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, it is given an account of the life of the author, her literary personality and her works. In the second part of the study, two novels of Sabahat Emir were respectively examined in terms of the novel's identity, point of view and narrator, plot, time, place, cast, language and style, narrative techniques and thematic fiction. While examining the novels in terms of structural and thematic fiction, it is made use of leading works written in the field of novel theory. In the two novels of Sabahat Emir that was examined, individual issues such as loneliness and alienation; social issues such as the problem of marriage/divorce and the position of women in society, cultural degeneration, admiration for the West and false Westernization; and mystical issues such as spiritual progression, absence of death, divine decree, surrender to predestination have been evaluated thematically. In the third part, Sabahat Emir's play called Yunus Emre has been examined in terms of the identity of the play, point of view and narrator, plot, time, place, cast of characters, language and style, narration techniques and thematic fiction. In addition to Yunus Emre's historical personality, this play has been analyzed in terms of the transition from human love to divine love, his mingling with the people coaxingly and Yunus Emre's universal advice and teachings. After a conclusion section in which the issues that come to the foreground in Sabahat Emir's monograph are discussed, her novel writing is evaluated, and her two novels and a single play are compared in terms of content, style and structure, the bibliography is given about both the author and the field.
