Abstract (EN)

Titanium alloys, with their superior properties, are used in many engineering fields and engineering applications (Siyahjani, 2015). Titanium is used in the plastic, paper and paint industries due to its structure. Titanium is also used in high-speed vibrating parts. It is mainly used in chemistry, defense, industry, aviation, electrochemistry sectors. It is used as a durable metal in these areas. Stainless steel is used in various areas of daily life. It is resistant to high temperature and has higher corrosion resistance. In the field of use of stainless steel, the field of heat exchangers for the automotive industry also applies. Low-carbon versions are used in printing or dairy equipment, in the chemical industries. In this study, pure titanium (GR2) and ferritic stainless steel (AISI 430) plates were joined by diffusion welding technique. Diffusion welding was carried out at 980, 1000 and 1020°C, 60, 70 and 80 minutes, under 1,2 and 3 MPa pressure in an argon gas environment. Microhardness and tensile mechanical tests were applied to the materials. The results were examined with the Taguchi optimization method and the variance (Anova) analysis, the effect ratios of the parameters were determined and the percentage of reliability of the experiment was determined.
