The factors of values education in Safahat

In this study, the "values" in the work "Safahat" of National Poet Mehmet Âkif ERSOY have been determined. "Safahat", published by Beyan Publications and prepared by A. Vahap AKBAŞ, has been taken into consideration as a source work. First of all the concept of "value" has been emphasised. Even if "values education" has been written by many academicians in our country there is no agreement on this subject. For this reason, the values in "Phases" have been determined in order to create a common opinion. The purpose of this study is to reveal the meaning of Phases in terms of the determinatioon of the values, values education and the needs of values for "Asım's Generation". The first part of our study, "value, values education and from past to present" have been discussed. In other part, the relevant work has been examined and lines related to the key words/words or verse on "values" have been determined. The values have been classfied by the lines and they have been ranged in acccordance with alphabetic order. It has been commented on the basis of the values in the lines. Some opinions of many researchers have been used by commenting. As a result, the concept "values and values education" that is the current issue in our country has affected the life of human. There are values that should submit to the next generation for "Asım's Generation" in the work "Safahat" of our national poet. In order to be "valuable person" , we should have the values that we mentioned and these values are crucial in both communication and social and personal life. For this reason, Âkif was submitted the values in "Safahat" that our nation should have.
