Relationship between health signal and health services: Health Sciences Univercity Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Sample for Guest Education and Research Hospital

This study is intended to investigate the effects of health perceptions of hospitalized patients on the selection of hospitals. Istanbul The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of health perception level of health service patients (n = 1035) in Sadi Konuk Education and Research Hospital March, April, May 2017 on the topics which are thought to be effective in hospital preferences and the importance of these subjects. It is aimed to determine the variables affecting the health perception level of the participants in the study and to examine the effect levels of the preferences of the hospital preferences on the degree of importance. Questionnaires used to collect data in the study consist literature search result obtained of three parts and the first part consists of the demographical characteristics of the participants (age, gender, marital status, education status, work status, type of health insurance, diagnosed disease and operation status etc. In the second part, The scale of the health perception of the participants is determined according to the scores given by the statements about the health perception This scale was used in 2007 by Diamond et al. The result of the compilation of the Health Perception Scale and Nottingham Health Profiles created by the health ın the third part, the hospital selection of the patients depends on the income, transportation, service quality, whether they are included in the social security system, the number of doctors, it has not been investigated whether it has changed according to the subject such as the name of the doctor, the technological facilities, the lack of waiting time and the courtesy of the staff. the number of specialists, cleanliness of the hospital, the name of the doctor, technological facilities, lack of waiting time and courtesy of the staff. The expressions in this section were obtained as a result of the compilation of the questionnaire Zeynep Karaca used in his master's thesis on "Health Services Demand Forecasting in Erzurum" In the analysis of the data; Descriptive statistics are presented with frequency, percent, mean, standard deviation. Single sample t test and ANOVA test were used to test whether the kits differed from the group mean value. Correlation analysis was performed with the aim of determining the relationship between health perception levels and importance scores. P values less than 0.05 were considered statistically significant in the study. Analyzes were made with SPSS 22.0 package program. The most important issues affecting the hospital selection of patients are income, convenience of transportation, hospital social security coverage, quality of service, doctors' names of hospitals. While the health perception levels of the participants were different according to sex, income levels, social security, it was seen that they did not differ according to the past surgery, marital status, diagnosed disease situation. Participants' health perceptions were found to be influenced by preference of hospitals, ease of transportation, technological facilities, number of specialist doctors in the hospital, kindness of the healthcare staff in the hospital, the choice of the hospital doctors and the cleanliness of the hospital. It has been determined that the patients' scores on health issues are related to the health scores of the patients, the kindness of health workers, hospital cleanliness, social security system, number of specialist doctors and income level.
