Health Care Services Personnel's Awareness Levels for Occupational Diseases and Work Accidents: Examples of Training and Research Hospital in Ankara. Occupational health and safety is a concept that is gaining more importance in the working life every day. Health care is a sector that aims and provides the best health for human health. However, it contains a wide variety of risks and dangers in terms of occupational health and safety. Health workers are involved with these risks and hazards during the execution of services. Occupational health and safety practices should protect employees from these hazards and risks, provide a safe working environment and make employees aware of this issue. For this reason, the training and the measures that are to be taken to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases are very important. The health care staff, who constitute the majority of the staff working in the hospitals and have a very important role in ensuring the continuity of the service, are in a constant contact with the patients and in a great risk group in terms of work accidents and occupational diseases. The aim of this study was to determine the extent to which healthcare providers' perceptions of work accidents or occupational diseases, occupational health and safety protection measures, occupational health and safety training in relation to work accidents and occupational diseases, and in which branches the work accidents and occupational diseases are encountered more frequently.
