Abstract (EN)
the research was conducted as a descriptive and cross-sectional study in order to determine the effects of the gender perception of health workers on the reporting of spousal violence against women. The number of health workers to be sampled was calculated as 191 out of 5212 health workers in the emergency services of public hospitals affiliated to Gaziantep Provincial Health Directorate, which constitutes the universe of the research. Questionnaire form, Gender Perception Scale and Health Professionals' Intention/Behavior Scale to Notify Spouse Violence Against Women were used as data collection tools. The questionnaire form, Gender Perception Scale and Health Professionals' Intention/Behavior Scale to Report Spousal Violence Against Women were administered between 01 July 2020 and 01 July 2021. The data obtained from the research are in SPSS for Windows 21.0 computer program; mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values and percentiles were evaluated using Mann Whitney U Test and Kruskal Wallis Test. It has been determined that there is a positive and significant relationship between the gender perceptions of healthcare professionals and the behavior scale of spousal violence against women (r=0.178; p<0.05), and that healthcare professionals with high gender perceptions have a higher intention to report partner violence against women.
